“I chose MacGlide because I was already aware that the film was better than paint at stopping marine organisms from fouling the hull, and because I knew that it was a more ecological solution. The film was applied on one of my rudders, with the other rudder left painted. I saw the difference at the end of one year: the painted rudder was very difficult to clean, whereas the one covered in MacGlide had much less fouling, and it was removed very easily.”

What is the alternative to boat paints?
